Hello everyone. I'm a long time reader of this forum, and thought I'd finally post.

I've read alot about Warnock recently, and the doubt some people have in him.

I feel the club almost owe Warnock the next 10 games at the club, due to his determination to stick with us despite the previous backing of Flavio and Bernie. I feel there is still a place for loyalty in football, despite the amount of money in the game. For me, his test will be the next 10 games, and that's what I will judge him on, as before now he hasn't let me down in getting us promoted and beginning to build a good squad. I think everyone should be fully behind him and the squad and give them the opportunity to show what they can do with our support. This is still a relatively new squad, and noone knows the potential of these players combined with the players Warnock gets in.

It would also be interesting to see what Warnock would do with the money, as once again he has hardly had the financial back we have when he was managing Plymouth, Bury and Crystal Palace. I feel fairly optimistic about what he can do.

    The FA Cup
MK Dons v QPR (Personally, I feel a loss wouldn't be the worst thing. But it could be good for morale if we win.)

These 10 games are the test for Warnock. We should be getting enough points to move up the table a bit, and get as many points as possible before a difficult run in.

    Newcastle v QPR
    QPR v Wigan
    Aston Villa v QPR
    QPR v Wolverhampton
    Blackburn v QPR
    QPR v Fulham
    QPR v Everton
    Bolton v QPR
    QPR v Liverpool
    Sunderland v QPR

Over these 10 games, it's not only the amount of points the squad pick up, but it is also about the development of the football being played, a possible rethink in tactics (especially at home) and what the new players bring to the squad.

And 'If' Warnock doesn't suceed in ensuring safety, or going some way to doing so then we have the opportunity to bring someone in with 7-8 to go to try and give us a push towards safety.
However if we were still in a relegation battle I would perhaps like to be in the dog fight with Neil Warnock over any other manager.

If he was given the next ten games by Fernandes and Bhatia and we were still in a similar position to where we are now, would you stick with him for the remainder of the season to try and prevent relegation or call in a new manager?

Good points and welcome to the board mate,if we don't get between 14-17 points from those games i think we'll be done for anyway so sacking Neil and bringing in someone else for the last 8 games would be futile.

Welcome to the board 55, great first post. I agree with that. I'm looking forward to a successful rest of the season.

Yes, good post Ranger55 and welcome to the board <ok>

If we're in trouble after 10 games, I think we're down whoever is manager, because of our horrific run in to the end of the season.

So I'd say either stick with him until the end of the season or consider a change in mid-Feb if the board has lost confidence in him.

Personally, I think he'll come good and keep us up

Welcome mate. As I've said on another thread...it's a bit of a catch 22. If we wait and don't pick up points, it'll be too late. On the other hand, it's probably too soon to sack him....although things can't be much worse than they are!!

I think you're right. Things will come good. I like Warnock and he may only just be starting to build this squad, there may be a lot left to come for them yet.
Worst comes to worst, we can always harpoon the manager and players with a barrage of abuse like at Blackburn and pinch a result against Liverpool and Utd. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Welcome 55! I hope we stick with Neil for at least this season. If we get the new players in he's apparently has been promised and we still go down, I think he'll quit. If we stay up, unless its by the tiniest of margins and because there were 3 terrible teams below us, I think he'll deserve another season.

    Good post 55

The impression I get from Fernandes public profile leads me to think he won't rush to sack NW anytime this season. We've all had enough of Flavio's roundabout and yearn for stability, and if we don't do well in those 10 games it'll be a lost cause anyway

The worst thing we can do is barrack our own players if they fall short, much better to do all we can to encourage their confidence and push them up the table

The worst thing about that run is Newcastle & Sunderland away, and Liverpool (with suarez back) at home. there are points there for the taking ad I still believe that come Ma Mackie will hit 10 goals and we will stay up.

    Don't stop believin......

    Welcome on board 55.

Your right, the next 10 games are vital for us and if we mess them up I think the only manager who could save us is JC. Neils did a great job for us in the championship but when I look at some of the tactics\Subs and comments he has made this year i can't help but feel the Prem is a bridge to far for him, yet I still hope to be proven wrong.

Welcome, 55! Watch out for (ranger)77 and Bluezzzz <laugh> They be the local trolls ;)

I really hope we can stick my NW all season. He knows the players well and is a sort of glue between everybody.
If HE can't keep us up, im not sure many other managers could... AVB and Steve Kean look like they might be going... Want one of them? <party>

I honestly don't think he's done very well given the squad of players he has. But as we all know, the game isn't played on paper.

If you give him the next 10, then you may as well stick with him until the end of the season anyway. It would be pointless changing manager then imo. Also take into consideration that if we did go down, there aren't many other managers I'd prefer than Warnock with the task of getting us back up again.

Theyoungone - Haha I'm defintley not up for having AVB or Kean at the club. However I do feel that only a British manager is truly suited to the club. I'm all for having the best man for the job at that moment in time, but I feel the British core of the team would respect and more easily understand a British managers direction.
On another point, I feel Warnocks desire and decision to maintain a fundamentally British team is something to be admired. When the home grown quota comes in for 25 man squad selection we would have quite a selection of promising British players able to bring something to the team. (We must have one of the most amount of British players in the EPL?)
