Top of Warnockâs shopping list is a new striker and central defender, with Fulham forward Andy Johnson and Tottenhamâs Sebastien Bassong prominent on Warnockâs shopping list. Agree with that one Lone. Has anyone else noticed that not only does Johnson look like Beckham without hair, He sounds like him as well. It's uncanny.
Hello all, been watching for a while but first post so kept it short and sweet. Looks like Tarbs is on his way, and if we were to get the money PSG quoted in the summer you could probably nick Defoe for a similar amount.
Possibly NFA,but if Taarbs goes were gonna need to replace him with a decent playmaker not an out and out striker.Would still love to see Defoe come to us,but now Cerny has said it's a done deal, there's no chance he's going to!
Not sure why Johnson would want to move as he gets a fairly regular berth at Fulham although he does seem to meet the 'old gits' criteria that Warnock seems to have adopted. Got to be worth a crack at Defoe surely.
The South-East Asia market could be a great earner for the club, especially if we stay in the PL and hopefully win something eventually; that could be the key to us paying our way. Great to have Fernandes on board to capitalise on this.
£15m plus what we get for Tarbs may be. Personally, I think Fernandes would push the boat out beyond what's quoted if necessary. As I recall, we were looking at Crouch and Bellamy both, and that was just offensively...'
isnt it great to have these conversations! .hope we dont get Johnson as said earlier too old and dont score enough.Defoe would be brilliant
Bellamy should have come to us during pre-season anyway. I think he now knows what he should have done, given the choice if playing in the prem week in week out, or bench warming/only featuring in CC games.
