Not sure Colin either wants another job (it'll depend on the wedge) or is the right man for City. Colin would only be a short term fix.
If Colin is going to manage again it needs to be nearer to his home in Cornwall, I think he's retiring for good.
If he's sacked before the takeover it'll be Pennock. If he's replaced following a takeover it'll be a long term appointment.
It seems to me Boro and Colin had agreed he would step down after he broke the record of the most managed games. Them doing that leads you to believe he will retire, as if he was deciding to continue managing somewhere else, then he would have probably left Boro earlier. But of course, you never know.
After watching Warnock and his two sidekicks ( Kevin Blackwell and Ronnie Jepson) when we played Boro at home, spend more time abusing the 4th offical than paying attension to what was going on the pitch, i'm not surprise Boro's owner decided its time for a change.
Marmite man was informed a few days ago that this was his last game. Love him or hate him, shows the mark of the man that he agreed to take the game. Others may have flounced off spitting feathers.
