Just listening SSN and had to 'rewind' due to NW comments. Reporter talking about Simon Grayson return to Elland Rd (Hudderfield/Leeds game) saying 'is it a difficult day for simon potentionally'?NW replied 'I don't think so, I just think Simon will want to win a little bit more than normal, erm that's like me when i watch QPR results' Does that sound bitter?
He'll just be thinking we got rid of him prematurely and replaced him with a numpty...and perhaps there's a bit of truth in that
Right about what? He's not our greatest manager of all time unless football started this decade and he's constantly slagged the club off since he was rightly sacked.
He's not though. It's an obviously incorrect statement from a two team supporting Chelsea glory hunter.
Before your time and mine, but on the off chance you're just being a bit thick rather than wumming, we had Alec Stock, Dave Sexton (recently deceased and long time manager of your second team) and Terry Venables amongst others. More recently, Gerry Francis had us fifth in the Prem and the job Holloway did to get us up from League One was more impressive than what Warnock achieved.
You know, I think Derby's got a point. He is our greatest manager of all time. If you ignore Iain Dowie (second time) Mick Harford (first time around), Ian Holloway, Iain Dowie (first time), Stewart Houston, Jim Smith, Alan Mullery, Terry Venables, Dave Sexton, Gordon Jago, Les Allen, Alec Stock, Dave Magnell, Ted Vizard, Billy Birtell, Mick O'Brien, Archie Mitchell, Ned Liddell and James Cowan. All of whom had a better win percentage (and therefore are by definition better managers) So yeah, our best manager if all time. Really.
How stupid of me! You won't know Bobby as he is more than 10 yeras ago......... lets say 'Avram' as you might just know that one.
You shouldn't have sacked Warnock, he was taking your team right to the top, now championship football beckons.
