Aye heard the supermarkets were cutting by up to 4p on Diesel <cheers>, shame I've got a full tank atm.
Knowing my luck by the time I need to top up (a week or two), the prices will have risen again.
Still think it's shocking that we're the only country in the world where diesel costs more than petrol, simply because of fuel duty/tax by the government.

What's even more shocking is that Americans are going crazy over having to pay 61p/1.06 litres...

Aye, if it were the French paying these prices as well, the ports, airports, fuel depots and any major route they can think of would be blockaded. I should know, I was caught up in the petrol strikes around ten years ago! We call them for a lot of things, but they do know how to protest/strike against anything they dislike (including any price hikes).

Apparently the blockade is still on just not getting the news coverage yet due to the suppliers being adequate atm

I think a lot will have to do with not wanting to raise too much awareness of the blockades. I mean let's face it if it made front page news, Joe public would go out and panic buy making the situation worse which plays right into the hands of the protestors. Of course this would work in our favour for getting cheaper petrol, but I'm fairly sure the government will be privy to this after the last few times blockades have happened.

Well I wish petrol was cheaper than diesel in Canada since diesel cars are almost non-existent (aside from a couple VW models)
