    Again taken from the post......

Ward has warned midfielder John-Joe O'Toole that his place in the side would not be guaranteed should he drop out of the team because of suspension. O'Toole collected his fourth booking of the season at Roots Hall on Friday night and will be subject to a one-game ban should he be shown another yellow card before December 31.

    Ward said:
"John-Joe has to be careful. He picked up an unnecessary booking on Friday night and has left himself on a knife-edge now. If he comes out of the team through suspension, there is no guarantee he will come straight back in again with someone like Clucas around. That is the risk he is running and is something I warned him about three weeks ago. He is a valuable player to us, but he is no use to us if he is suspended. He has to be careful because there are people around ready to take the opportunity when he is not there. I don't make decisions based on what someone has done in the past; it is about what they are doing at that very moment."

Bit concerned about JJ. Can be good but, for me, so far the negatives outweigh the positives.
Often moves around the pitch like a headless chicken, and all of his bookings have been avoidable.
His hair makes him noticeable and a target for opponents and referees alike.
Got a 3 year contract.........................just like Gill!

JJOT has showed way more than Gill and I'm happy for him to prove the doubters wrong. Yes, he can suffer from headless chicken syndrome but he's got an eye for goal and on his day can really run things in midefield.

I'd like to see him make a few starts alongside young Seanan.

O'Toole reminds me of the likes of Craig Bellamy and Michael Brown in that they're always on at the ref and won't shut up.

Ward will never drop JJOT, unless he wants to lose his job of course as we will fall like a stone. We are **** in midfield even with him in the squad, my god we would be buggered without him!
