http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/04/southampton-james-ward-prowse-england-world-cup Good read, though the suggestion he might go the world cup seems a little fanciful.
He'll probably go as a last-minute replacement for Roy Hodgson. Interesting article, do you think Saints really didn't know about his playing for Havant & Waterlooville?
Haha, media spokesman perhaps. Who knows, I can't imagine they'd have been thrilled about it, so maybe they didn't.
It's a measure of where we've come in football, that a lad with a barrister dad can make it as a pro! Seriously, a player who could use the word "conducive" in an interview as I've heard JWP do would have been ridiculed in the past - remember Graeme Le Saux? There used to be a kind of inverse snobbery coupled with a bizarre misdirected homophobia in English football that has been diminished by the arrival of so many articulate foreign players. Now if we can tackle genuine homophobia we'll be going somewhere. Good interview with one of our stars - but he supported Pompey! Come on.
Not quite as involved for us at the moment, so has fewer chances to be noticed. Unlike Luke, he will probably play for the u21s rather than the Brazil squad. Great lad.
Good lad with an amazing attitude. I wish I was as focused and committed at his age and you can see why he has been captain at every level and it's no coincidence that his attitude has probably helped the likes of Shaw & Chambers. How often do we see negative articles about young footballers getting too much too soon and overpaid pre-madonnas once they get a pro contract. He lives and breathes the game and that's why I have no doubt he'll have a great career.
Not only that but not checking or even apologising if not seen, blah blah. Tsk, tsk. I've a good mind to close it.
I'm on the S2 all day, but I could give it a go. EDIT: Threads merged..! All hail the Samsung Galaxy S2, I think.
