Manager John Ward has been pleased with his teamâs recent performances, and now wants to see his side start to move up the table. He said: âWe can start moving up the league, as we have people around us to play, and points to try and win if we can. We have not got adrift, but the run we have put together has got to continue. We have to continue the way we have been playing, and the reappearance of a couple of the senior boys gives us that optimism that we can keep this form going. We will work hard with the group, and keep the way we go about our football, if we can do that there is a chance of improving our league position, which would be nice. There are only still clubs below us, and we have to extend that gap. We did it last year, so we have some experience and knowledge of that, and recognition that we can do it. Morecambe away is a tough fixture, especially after they have just lost as they will be chomping at the bit to put it right, but we have to work at it and see if we can come away with something.â The manager will be boosted by the return of a number of players following injury and suspension. He said: âWe will have John-Joe OâToole and Chris Beardsley back, and as we go further into the deeper Christmas period, we should have one or two others back around the place. Alefe Santos came back on for a few minutes on Saturday, and Jordan Goddard is back available for league games. Will Packwood will be back for the league, so this week is a thinking period for myself in terms of selection, and I am quite happy with that. It is getting a little bit better all round, and letâs hope we can keep the results going that way.â From our OS.
Well since he has been out suspended, we have not conceded a single goal meaning we have not lost any of the 3 games. Think both him and Beardsley should have to fight and earn their place. They dont seserve to be allowed to automatically get their place back. They let the fans and club down. We are doing ok without them and shouldnt try and fix something that currently aint broke.
