Oh well. We definitely need a CB if we can get rid of Kenneth to then maybe cover for Brown as well

kenneth going and mcchrystal out for a month, leaves parkes and lockyer as CB's and Keary as cover. Agree we need a CB.

no idea when paterson is back or how long brown is out for. at the moment we dont have a fit LB. unless keary will be placed at LB like today while brown and paterson are on the comeback. if that happens we then have no cover for CB.

bond and gill going, dont think we need another CM as clucas and clarke are back and we got o'toole and norburn as well so we are ok in that position. and goddard and harding too.

hammer is our only winger we have and i doubt we will see him in a rovers shirt this season. hunter clearly aint ready as cant even get in the bench. santos can be used but only now and then. we need at least 1 winger. not a CM to play out wide.

clarkson, richards, brunt and harrold all have had knocks this season and not fully fit and none have pace. we need a pacy striker.

    so going out:

    macey (signing for arsenal)
    kenneth
    bond
    gill

    needed:
    LB cover
    CB cover
    winger
    striker

im expecting kenneths and gills wages to be high so their wages alone should hopefully free up enough wages to get the cover we need.

    needed:
    LB cover
    CB cover
    winger
    striker

All four should be possible if Gill and Kenneth depart they got to be on a fair bit between them lets see if JW can work his magic in the loan market CB and LB are the most important.

Does anyone think JW could play a formation without wingers?

So Bond has gone back to Colchester and 'we might get another couple of players in'.... let's hope JW can work the same loan magic as last season.

John Ward and Marcus Stewart @ the City U21s game this afternoon v QPR.
Who could they have been watching? City had Wynter, Cunningham, Brundle
and Ryan Taylor playing. QPR had Tom Hitchcock and a CB by the name of
Ben Brown...and a monster of a LB in Manni Monthe.

QPR wont let Hitchcock go and perhaps we dont need that type of player up front at the moment. As for Monthe he is under 18 and just signed a pro contract do we need another inexperienced youngster in the defence?

As for City Mitch Brundle is another 18 yr old defender again no real experience other than the JPT loss vs Wycombe.Cunningham at 21 yrs might be of interest if fully recovered from his injury as he is left sided he has two years left on his contract though so it would prob be a loaner.Ryan Taylor is a striker who does not score many goals at 25 its a good age dont know much about him. Wynter is the ex Arsenal player who joined City this season on a two year deal doubt if they will let him go he is a striker and they have an abundance of those so they might loan him out.

Sounds as if the defense is where they will add strength so maybe Cunningham or Brundle

Wynter was RB today! Cunningham was run ragged by QPR's right sided attacker.
I'd put 10p on Ward having a look at QPR's CB Ben Brown.
