JW wants further new faces in the squad as quickly as possible after suffering his first defeat was us. JW said: "We need that a striker to add some physical presence. We had a look at Guy Madjo last week who was with us on a short trial but we decided against offering Guy a deal. There is still a lot to be done in the transfer market. I promise that I will do my best to get what we need. A striker is a priority as we are a bit light up there. Our hands are tied a little bit in terms of how many loan players we can have and how much money we can spend. I'll be straight back to work tonight to assess what players are available to help us. I've spoke to a lot of players and agents this week. Two players were close to joining us during the week. We thought a deal was done with one but their club changed their mind and decided not to let him leave. That happens in this game. The wage demands of the other player were too high for us and therefore we had to end talks. Whoever we bring here has to fit into the wage structure. It is a little bit of a juggle, but I'm not grumbling about it." JW also added "We need to wait a few days to assess Kenneth's knee to establish time scales when we think Kenneth will be back fit again before thinking about going back into the market for another defender. It's not ideal but we may be forced to bring in another one in."
Preety obvious that we need a striker yesterday we were toothless apart from the post and lucky catch by the goalkeeper. As for Tom who Ward recruited very lightweight tries hard, being fair to Tom he was played on his own up front but not good enough. Also thought Richards out of sorts needs to try harder I cannot see him featuring unless we are desperate Hmm we are so he will play View attachment 20286 Agree with Gastro an Aldershot reject Madge lucky escape. We are really struggling it appears to get decent players through the door. COR
