    Walsall vPreston North End

A trip down the M6 to the Bescot for the Westley boys against the Sadlers who have had a decent start to the season after last seasons flirtation with relegation. They came a cropper on Tuesday night losing at Stevenage and will look for a return to form against North End on Saturday.
The Bescot isn't the best of hunting grounds for North End, last seasons 1 goal defeat was the start of the dire run of form which led to the sacking of Tango Man.
Not a team of major names though centre half pairing of Butler and Holden are extremely experienced also Florent Cuvelier is a danger.
As for the Whites who knows what team GW will put out 5 changes seemed to work on Tuesday, you can bet your life that side will not play on Saturday

There are a few injuries for GW to cover. So the team will be different. A point he made during the week makes sense about not worrying about losing players to injury because he has others who can step up to do the job for NE. We shall see. You reported that on Tuesday NE were slow to get started. et us hope that this afternoon, NE are off the mark like Louis Hamilton!

By the sound of it a less than impressive performance Simonsen making two super saves in the first half.
Wonder if we picked the wrong side?

At least NE scored. Apparently Beavon was through on goal but the referee blew for a mysterious foul. On the whole, it does seem as though Walsall deserved the 3 points.
My next door neighbour, a Barnet supporter (& Spurs as well), when we spoke about the Bees' miserable start to the season, said that the only comfort for Bees supporters was that the problems were being dealt with at the right end of the season. I hoe that applies to the Lilywhites.
