Ok, so it's not a match that'll interest most people, even those from the countries involved, but it does bring up one clash that Spurs fans will look out for.
It's yet another re-run of Gareth Bale running the gauntlet of Charlie Adams' dire tackling.

Given the ex-Liverpool and Blackpool midfielder's comments today, perhaps we could suggest a minor injury for our winger?
"He's good and he's quick," said 19-times capped Scot Adam.
"If we can stop him it will probably enhance our chances of winning the game."
We're all too familiar with what that means to Stoke's latest clogger, unfortunately.

Im guessing whatever the result then 1 or both managers will be under pressure at this early stage of qualifying

I think that Coleman's already under pressure and that's bound to increase when Mark Hughes becomes available.
Given that Belgium and Croatia are in the group, with Serbia probably favourites for third, it'd be a miracle for either of the British sides to qualify.

I actually feel sorry for Wales, but Coleman should never have been hired as what has he done to prove he can manage Wales? they needed an outstanding man manager to help them build on what speed done, all that’s happening is they have gone for a big personality and he is messing it up big time.

Doesn't really matter. If Hughes is out of a job and Coleman's not doing well, then his shadow will loom over the former Fulham man's head.
He did a good job for his country, so people will call for him to make a return.

Can't see Adam going for anything intentionally dangerous with the spotlight on him. If he does Bale should get out a restraining order in him preventing him from being even in the same stadium as him.

Wales vs Scotland - in the World Cup final for stubbornness...

  10. Adam has consistently showed a lack of judgement in his decision making - career moves, public statements and (as far as GB is concerned) tackles/assaults. I am actually quite worried that Adam will be unable to control his behaviour when confronted with his nemesis this week and we will end up short of a major asset for an extended period. I hope I'm wrong......

There was a peice in the paper up here (i live in scotland) and adam was talking about his new found life at stoke and the bale saga, he seems to think after the challenge was made, he went up to bale at a corner and apologised, bale accepted it and no more to be said on the matter.........not sure if correct but I know adam is a dirty player (and a crap one).......a crap one we nearly bought as harry bid for him!

Being based in Scotland, have you seen anything of Fraser Forster and if so, what is your assessment of him??

To be honest I avoid Scottish football, especially Celtic, however the papers are constantly trying to talk up Fraser Forster & Gary Hooper for England.

I'm pretty sure if either of these two players where based in England, they would be playing for championship standard clubs, yet the league up here is so bad, and i mean the defending is as comic as it comes for a top flight league, especially for a "premier league".

They was the same with Chris Sutton & Alan Thompson, if you remember the Martin O'Neil team, which actually done superb at home for champion league games, fans up here couldn't understand why they weren't England regulars, as I was living in England at that time but visited family this way and they would always be talking up Sutton & Thompson.

    Now its Forster & Hooper!

Sandro & Adam, together in the centre would have been a formidable force.

Thanks Boss. Sounds as if they're over hyped. I am interested in Forster for obvious reasons, but also because I saw him when he was at Norwich and I thought he looked a fine keeper and have never really understood why he has ended up playing his football in Scotland.

Harry did send our ex-chief scout Ian Broomfield to watch him about February time and the feedback was 'he's worth another look', but I don't think Harry sent him back for another look, at least not as far as I am aware.

I guess Celtic are a huge club, so even though its a crap league, the draw of champions league football is something a player like Forster may not experience down south, especially being first choice.

He probably is a fine keeper now, as I haven't heard anyone slate him, even the rangers fans, and they will attack any Celtic player for making a mistake given half a chance!

I'm just a tad harsh on players that look great up here, as the league is dire!

Should have happened already. I can just see the headlines the *next* time Adam tries to cripple Bale, pointing out something we already know! Surely if the same player consistently goes after the same other player that constitutes premeditation... this should be taken to the law court!
