Wales v Republic of Ireland Competition - Nations League Date Sunday 15th November 2020 Kick off - 5pm Venue - Legoland aka Leckwith Following their easily forgetful 0-0 draw against the USA, next up for Wales under caretaker boss Robert Page is a home match against the Republic of Ireland. The day after Wales drew with the USA, England strolled to victory against the Republic of Ireland in their friendly international at Wembley. Manager Gareth Southgate gave his undercard a chance as he kept England's main players back for the Uefa Nations League match in Belgium on Sunday - but they still had far too much for an outclassed Republic side. Jude Bellingham, brought on as a substitute for his debut in the second half, became England's third-youngest full international at 17 years and 137 days. And Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson also won his first senior cap as a half-time replacement for Burnley's Nick Pope. Harry Maguire, given the captain's armband, erased some of the misery of his last England appearance - when he was sent off in the Nations League home defeat by Denmark - by heading in Harry Winks' cross after 18 minutes. Jadon Sancho doubled England's advantage before the break and their total control was emphasised when Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored emphatically from the penalty spot in the 56th minute after Bukayo Saka was fouled by Cyrus Christie. It sealed England's first win against the Republic since 1985. The 2 countries have played each other on 18 occasions, with Wales winning 7, losing 6 and drawing 5. However, the sides are heading in different directions in Group B4, with Wales sitting unbeaten in first place and Ireland languishing without a win in the Nations League this season. Gareth Bale is back for Wales, and he will be desperate to impress for his national team after returning to match fitness for the first time in months. Ireland face a nervy test to avoid relegation to League C and will rely on a young attacking line to dig them out of trouble. I’m going for a 2-1 win for Wales with goals from Bale and James
Nice one Taff. If the Welsh team show some howl they should win quite easily against what appears to be a poor Irish team...by two goals
With our "senior" players starting I think we can scrape through this one by one goal. An early goal might see us win comfortably though.
Ireland basically playing men behind the ball looking for a break but Wales too slow to break the Irish defence down....
Just like watching paint dry sorry...no Giggs but page is obviously taking instructions from him...slow slow stop with no real goal mouth action from us...
Brooks scores for Wales assist from Bale....I was just going to turn over to Strictly results...Bulgaria scored one and missed a penalty...still two one to Finland....can’t wait until Saturday though....
