Wales v Denmark Competition - Nations League, Group B4 Venue - Cardiff City Stadium Date - Friday 16 November 2018 Kick off -19:45 GMT Wales are boosted by the return of forward Gareth Bale, who missed last month's win in the Republic of Ireland because of injury. The 29-year-old also suffered an ankle knock playing for Real Madrid last weekend but has returned to training. Wales defenders Chris Mepham and Neil Taylor are out injured, while left-back Ben Davies is suspended. Denmark's most notable absentee is captain and centre-back Simon Kjaer, who is injured. Wales has played Denmark on 9 occasions, winning 4 and losing 5. When Wales last played at home against Denmark, the Euro 2000 qualifier in June 1999 was actually played at Anfield, with Denmark winning 2-0. The teams last met in September when Denmark made a winning start to their Nations League campaign as two goals from Christian Eriksen helped them beat Wales 2-0 in Aarhus. I’m going for a 1-1 draw
Another defeat for Giggsy? So many missed chances in this game, which resulted in another game thrown away, was hoping for a draw, I hope the team management learn lessons from these last two games......................
It was quite an enjoyable watch with good football from both sides. Wales will remain in League B and will now be joined by Germany who were relegated The important game, of course, will be tomorrow when England play Croatia. An England win will send them to the finals in (?) June 2020. [edit June 2019] A perk of achieving that (I Think) is that they will then be in a group of 5 rather than 6 in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Don't rate Giggs as a manager and never have. Yet another failure on home turf.....not good enough....
Beaten by the better team. Playing Tyler Roberts up front proved a poor selection, with Sam Vokes sitting on the bench.
That's a great comeback from England. Very tight group and all 3 teams could have topped the group depending on the England - Croatia result. Happy days
Giggs is a failure because we were beaten by a side that should have beaten a side that reached the World Cup final? Giggs has done a very good job so far in creating a new way of play and blooding a lot of youngsters. The future of Welsh football is looking good. You are an arseclown at times Dai
Don't need to....you state that giggs has done well and i disagree, So what is your problem.... He may improve but i wont hold my breath....
Don't you think he's done well in such a short time to completely change the style of play and blood several youngsters during the last 6-8 months?
Coleman left him a good team that were playing the right way and he has messed it up.....He has inherited a reasonable squad of players here that Wales can muster that is not in the same class as Man u even but he is trying to get them playing there way......He should build on colemans way which was the Swansea way that the players are more comfortable with......This Man u influence wont work when we only have one world class player and a couple of great players......
Coleman eventually started to lose his way & became more & more negative. At his height as Wales gaffer, we could play some nice football, good passing stuff, a lot of counter-attack too, but I never thought it was the 'Swansea Way', whatever that is meant to be..
Not that interested in International football, but my 2 peneth on this is, I think we have a fantastic group of youngsters coming through, with some quality older players there. I am not convinced that Giggs is the man to take us forward, we are playing some nice stuff, but as a side we are to nice and to easy to beat. Not sure who I would of had in charge but it wouldn't have been Giggs. With the right person I think we could be challenging to qualify for most major tournaments.
