So says Tony Pulis www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40000599 Well, I don't think he is speaking for this part of Wales unless it guarantees one relegation place every season they come up......
Well he lost all his credibility during his Court defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.... ....... as well as £3.7m
It would be good to see Cardiff in the premiership...What is wrong with that ?. I cant see that happening while Tan owns the club anyway but if they can change that then why not as it will be good for welsh football and great for competition...
I guess he must have. The Judge enforced the findings of the Arbitrator from 7-8 months earlier when Arbitrators concluded: “By any standards his conduct (prior to and during the litigation) has been shown to be disgraceful” and that Pulis had not been “committed to the club” when he quit in August 2014 after receiving a £2m bonus."
I'd love to see Cardiff back in the prem, I miss the derbies. I don't understand though how an event happening in Cardiff, or Swansea, or Upper CwnTwch benefits Wales or how them being in the prem benefits Welsh football. Its like us being in the prem, its great and its benefited the City of Swansea and the fans of the club, no one or nothing else. Likewise, Cardiff being in the prem would only benefit Cardiff and the supporters of the club. To say either Swansea or Cardiff being in the prem benefits Wales and Welsh football is utter bollox. Between us both, how many Welsh footballers do we currently have playing for our clubs? so how the fekk does either of us being in the prem benefit Welsh football? Any money earned by vendors and retailers from commercial activity directly linked to the clubs stays in our respective cities so how does that benefit Wales?. Imo, this was just a cheap snipe at us from a griping loser. 2-1, we won, you lost, grow up
It's a strange mentality but very very common. You hear fans from so many clubs, (Leeds, Forest, Villa, Wednesday, etc) who believe they are 'big clubs' and should be in the Premier League. They talk about fan bases, city size, populations, cup histories, etc. Jason Mohammed was at it the other week, mentioning that there were far bigger clubs in the Championship than little Swansea City. It's so bizzare though, I don't get it at all. There's a simple system I place, has been for many years now which decides what division each club plays on. Win your league, you go up, perform badly enough to finish in the bottom three and you go down. 3 points for a win, etc, fairly simple, even for someone like myself, who you can guarantee won't be sitting in the chair for mastermind any time soon. So all this nonsense about deserving to be in a particular league, to me, makes people seem very dim.
And one thing that seems to be unique to British fans is that we care more about our local teams than the national side.
