It seems that they are emerging as the main rivals for his signature. If you didn't believe we were a selling club before then I'm sure you realise we are now. What will this do to the morale of a squad which already seems to be teetering on the edge and is Raheem Sterling a good replacement if Walcott departs or are we once again taking 2 steps back?

Do you mean Raheem Sterling ? If so, then yes I think he'd be a great replacement if Walcott goes. He's quick, nimble, skillful and hard working, not afraid to get stuck into a tackle either. Other than Suarez, he's the best player Liverpool have got. He might be tempted by Champions League football too.

Yep, that's what I said. I think it would be a step backwards personally for Walcott to go to Liverpool, but if he did then I think we'd be in a good position to barter for Sterling.

There's no way Liverpool will let Sterling go. No way.

Sterling's currently the most overhyped player about. Good player, but people go on about him like this genius whiz. He's not an improvement on Walcott. Nor is he better than Chamberlain or Gnabry.

    No thanks.

Liverpool wouldn't even consider selling him to us though. Not everyone sells their players to teams (rivals) in the same league, unless they're Arsenal.

    Gnarbry will be Walcotts replacement.

If Walcott is another to leave us it does make me think that young players will have even more reason to join us. They might see it as Arsenal are a place they can go to be developed into a top player and then they will move on to a bigger club. It could help attract the likes of Sterling, Zaha and others who are regarded as amongst the best young players in England. That is, imo, at least a consolation prize thats worth having.

I would bet he'd be a bigger flop than Joe Cole at Liverpool. He can be a good choice very situationally, but has been massively overrated all of his career.

I would keep him at Arsenal just for squad depth, as he can be a useful impact sub against tired defenses, but he is nowhere near the quality to be the highest paid player in any PL team let alone Arsenal.
