Wait Till The End Of The Summer To Judge The Board

Obviously emotions are running high right now, with no-one really sure of what's gone/is going on. I can fully understand the backlash to Ashley - it's not as if he's never made mistakes.

But surely waiting until the window shuts to see how the squad is looking then is the best way to really react? Who knows what players Pardew/the board have in mind? Who knows how our squad will look come the first game of the season?

I for one don't trust Ashley or Llambias as far as I can throw them and although things may not look great now, they could look a whole let better come August.

If then the squad does look worse than it did at the end of last season, then it's time to complain.

And it's not as if we've sold a fans favourite on the last day of the window is it...

Most people did not have Nolan in their starting 11 for next season anyway, and that's without any further additions to the squad.

 

It's probably going to get worse before it gets better. We need to sign lots of these players we're linked with (N'Zogbia, Ba, Gardner, Barnetta etc etc) as there will be more leaving, if we don't then next season will be very tough.

 

I understand that we will make ourselves look foolish if we're up in arms now but more than staisfied by 1st Sept. But reacting to this on September 1st may be too late, if other players follow Nolan out of the door and we don't bring any replacements in then we may already be consigned to relegation.

 

The bolded word is the issue I have - we're relying on 'ifs'. 'If' Barton leaves, 'if' we dont sign our targets, 'if' Enrique goes.

'If' that does happen, then fine, complain, Until then, let's try and be slightly more calm about it.

 

How does reacting on an internet message board have any influence with a man like Mike Ashley?
