    future not decided.

VERY popular and highly rated at Charlton yet only a last minute sub for us.

I'm not as critical of him as Redprintt is, but I think we should let him go and I wish him well.
Not sure where the Post gets the impression most City fans want him to stay though?

    Dear old Waggy.
Nice guy and probably good in the dressing room but giving him a new contract is not the kind of ambition we need to progress.

Very diplomatically put, I was expecting your comment.

Wagstaffe is a squad player, not good enough for the prem, to good for the Div 1 teams ... ... RP always has his pet hates and Waggers is one of them ..

I think we want to keep a comparatively trim squad, so players like Wagstaff that are borderline, but more likely than not to be let go.

I don't know if a Championship side would be that interested, but the right League One side would give him regular football - if Charlton get their house in order then maybe a return there would be good for him.

As it's been said, assuming he goes, I wish him all the best.

Agree - the Charlton fans would embrace him - they loved him there and rated him highly - and he would get the games he needs in L1.
Hope it works out for him.

I think L1 is about right for his ability.
