Bit of an unsung hero in my view, seems to constantly get grief BUT gets through more work in 90mins than any other player in my view. Always a threat and scores goals, lay off Waggy or MT will send the boys round .
I'm with you in that I'm a big fan of Waggy, and though I was over the moon about the signing of Danny Green, I felt worried that this would push Waggy out of the starting 11. He's a class player, with bags of pace and energy and is truly one of ours to be proud of.
Yep, couldn't agree more. Waggy is a top lad. Signed his contract extensions with no bother and puts in a shift at all times. He has his faults, but those are overlooked when he shows such drive and commitment. Only issue with Waggy: his musical tastes are appalling.
I have always been a great waggy fan, works so hard, believe me would miss him out of the team.....Quick note on the Bury match, thought Chris Solly had a great game.Fantastic to see two of our homegrown players doing so well isn`t it Mr Davidson wherever you are!.
There's never been a question mark in relation to his work rate Mike, well not from me anyway! I do however question the âend productâ element of his game. If he can add a little more finesse to his undoubted athleticism and willingness to work for his teammates, I think he could go on to carve out a really good career in the game. To me he tends to want to do everything at 100mph. When heâs hurtling down the wing he often attempts to cross the ball whilst at full tilt. Doing so is an hell of a skill to masterâ¦!! I canât help but think, that if he were to moderate his speed somewhat a few strides prior to crossing the ball that the quality of his delivery would improve. Good player to have in the squad though. Will deffo play his part this season thatâs for sureâ¦
Yeh,Ten goals from midfield last season shows really poor end product to me! What do peolple expect from this kid? He's improving all the time and the best place for him to continue improving is with us at the moment. He's getting games he's scoring goals and i'm sure his delivery will improve in time. Give the lad a break
So do I, which is why I think Waggy is better in the middle. The trouble is that although I love Green's play, he may be quite inconsistent, which I have been told by two separate Daggers fans, so we may see Waggy wide right at times.
I like my wingers with speed, work up and down all game and scoring...regarding the crossing yes it is not the greatest though i`m sure he works on it and he still goes past full backs and cuts the ball back or drives it in hard and low.I`m very pleased we have him
His best game of the season was on Tuesday, when he pulled the Reading defence to shreds- in the middle. He also combined well with Green.
But he very rarely beats his man. No one faults his effort or goals but his style of play isn't suited to the wing. Agree with FHB- up top is where he works. And re his goals last season.. Wasn't his most prolific patch under peacock/CP when he played up top?
Whereas Green doesn't have to beat his man. If the defender stands off him he just curls it round him (bends it like Beckham)
Well the Daggers fans do say he's inconsistent. Maybe if he's not guaranteed his place that will address the problem.
Rarely has a bad game? Same can be said that he rarely has an effective game too. Hard, but fair statement.
