Negatives: We might end up taking Simpson back. Positives: At least Leicester will be paying for him to recover.
Yes mate, but people should view the forum before making threads, I mentioned on the thread running on waghorn playing for England tonight. I would be happy for all 2 of the 3 threads to be deleted
during the 2 months he is out could be a blessing in disguise? Could keep hus value low for a permanant move in Jan. I am gutted tho!
Me too mate, you see so many times players coming in on loan, do well, get injured, go back to their contracted club never to be seen again. Hope we see Waggy back at City again.
Came on in the 32nd minute? Another injury? I haven't seen it so should we be asking questions of the coaching staff responsible for preparing the team for the game tonight?
Maybe he should have warmed up better but he was running just to the edge of the opositions box and instantly pulled up, these things can happen to any player at any time, happened to Danny Welbeck recently and I'm sure he warmed up properly. Waghorn had already played a good 20 mins in 1st half and a good 15 in 2nd.
It was more the fact 2 strikers have gone off injured (based on time he came on) that was getting me questionning the preparation. Maybe too much of something in training exposing them to a higher risk in the game. Like I say I'm not watching so I don't know what the original sub was for, it just seemed strange having one off after half hour and another after about an hour.
Is the emergency loan window still open? Does it shut? Anyway. We might get someone even better in if we can.
This is a ****ing massive blow to us, we've looked a different side with him in it, had a completely different edge up front. The obvious thing for NP to do would be stick McLean and Fryatt up there, but I really hope he pulls a rabbit out the magic hat with a good loan signing so we can keep pushing to keep our top 6 place. I know one player doesn't make a team but I think with losing Waggy we lose a dimension to how we've recently been playing, and worry about our chance at keeping this form up. Waggy gave the opposition a 2nd striker to worry about, rather than just Fryatt.
