Sorry if i'm reproducing anyone elses comments but....

Anybody going for a new job has a good idea of what the wages are. I don't understand why these Posh boys didn't.
This has happened so many times now, why can't PJ say while on the phone organising an interiew or medical - 'by the way, the wage will be no more than (eg ) £8000 a week' and then anyone expecting £15000 can eff off at this stage.

This makes me think its more than salary - possibly lack of ambition of the club, or no BUPA, or unlikable people......

Nobody accepts a postion in principle, goes for medicals ect ect and then gets a nasty shock about the wages...there is something else going on here.

The buck has to stop with Foghorn and Evans as it is those two who make these decisions.

Billy Smarts always looking for new clowns....they'd do well....

its more like being headhunter than applying for a new job and if you are headhunted it normally means the potential new employer will be more 'flexible' then if you had just applied for a job along with 20 other candidates.

I agree with this it's all very confusing, why go for a medical and then be miles appart on wages??

Either we keep giving players ridiculously low offers trying to get the best deal we can and the players think we are taking the piss or people keep moving the goalposts and we aren't very good a negotiations or the players/club are using it as a way to drum up more interest!!!
