So glad to be back - Elliott. please log in to view this image Skipper available again after serving suspension. Wade Elliott says he is fully refreshed from his enforced mid-season break and delighted to be ready for selection once more. The City skipper has been serving a three-match ban following his dismissal in the 1-0 defeat at Swindon Town on November 15th. But after serving his time on the sidelines, Elliott is chomping at the bit to get back out on the pitch again. “It’s been very frustrating and I’m certainly not very good watching games from the stands,” he told Bristol City Player. “I hardly played any of the game at Swindon, so it’s been like a four-game ban really. “I’ve tried to turn it around and use it as a bit of a mid-season break really. The staff have put a bit of work into me and I’ve kept my fitness levels up. “There’s probably only been one day where the gaffer has had to tell me off for sulking a bit! “I feel like a kid bouncing around the place with a lot of excess energy to use up. It’ll be great to get back out there again, if selected.” The midfielder could make a return in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy southern area semi-final tie with Coventry City at Ashton Gate (7.45pm). City won 3-1 at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena in October, but Elliott warned: “It won’t be an easy game by any means. They’ve got a good squad of players. “We had a good day at their place earlier in the season. It was a good victory and we took a huge away support. “This is the last eight of the competition but you can’t think any further than that at the moment. “It’s a competition we want to do well in and if that’s going to happen we need to beat Coventry.” Read more at http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/so-glad-to-be-back-elliott-2133599.aspx#uUXKP3wyYfGg7Bmg.99
We've missed Elliott, but I hope that the club are desperately searching for his successor. Because there will be a time soon he won't be available. But welcome back Wade
