After tonight's defeat, I thought now, with 6 games remaining was the time to remind everyone how important it is we give it our all to will the players on , and remember that we wouldn't even be talking about this club right now without one man: Markus Liebherr. Wonderful idea. He made us happy by saving us and I hope we gave him some pleasure when he was so ill. He obviously loved our day at Wembley...can you imagine owning a club and looking round the stadium and seeing a sea of red. He got a reward that day which was well deserved.
The lads over at SaintsWeb are coming up with ideas for the Walsall game to remember him like a giant Swiss flag or chanting his name for most of the game.
I would love for this to happen. We can't forget what this great man did for our club, and we should be chanting his name in our rise. His dream.
They are considering setting up a paypal account which we can all put our money into, then we can buy the flag, it can be rolled out during the game - and then handed to the club afterwards to avoid ownership issues.
Guys, I don't want to be a party pooper or nothing, but are you sure that is what he would want? Just remember he was a very private person. I just feel somehow that all this flag waving stuff is not what he would like.....Sorry!!
