For once you are not joking. A must win if only to keep up with the pack. Likein cycling, being dropped by a breakaway pack at this point makes it v. difficult to rejoin.
This game is one where wagner will try his best to get a point. he's desperate at this point and they've not actually been "awful" they just can't score. The key is take an early chance. just however that comes. Then just go to town on them... win well then. The longer its 0-0 the worse it becomes for us. I'm just shcoked the bastards have not put us on a t 12:30 again as early kick off post internationals. If we'd gotten the sunday slow it'd have been even better
Burnley 1 1 Huddersfield Town Huddersfield Town 0 2 Tottenham Hotspur Leicester City 3 1 Huddersfield Town Huddersfield Town 0 1 Crystal Palace Everton 1 1 Huddersfield Town Huddersfield Town 0 0 Cardiff City Manchester City 6 1 Huddersfield Town Huddersfield Town 0 3 Chelsea They haven't scored more than 1 goal all season. but... some half credible results in there. not many mind. Our top 4 rivals have ALL beaten Huddersfield 2 of them at huddersfield's place. They have drawn v burnely, everton and cardiff. (those are the only credible results) In short... no excuses here. They've scraped draws only and have lose badly to all of our rivals. We simply have to get about them.
Huddersfield 18th in the table. You cannot judge a book by its cover, but it would be a disaster if Liverpool fails to come out with all the points here. We have played some difficult games of recent. Our next five fixtures in the league: Saturday 20th October Premier League Huddersfield Town17:30Liverpool Saturday 27th October Premier League Liverpool15:00Cardiff Saturday 3rd November Premier League Arsenal17:30Liverpool Tuesday 6th November Sunday 11th November Premier League Liverpooll12:00Fulham Saturday 24th November Premier League Watford15:00Liverpool #All of them are winnable, thought not sure of Arsenal and Watford.
Huddersfield are not playing well anyway. We’ll win well. I’d be most disappointed if we didn’t improve our GD by at least 3.
league positions mean diddly. we have lost to bottom club before, yet beaten the team at the top of the league.
They are still working hard, but their league positions and results don't lie. They just cannot score goals.
i don't get this argument. any team at any time can cause an upset, esp if the other team is expected to annihilate them. it's how good runs end, and we have seen it many times down the years. on paper we are expected to beat most teams, few other clubs the same, don't always work out that way though does it.
When bottom clubs(especially relegation candidates) are playing top clubs their players put in their all, sometime 150% because they want to be notice. If the bottom club score the first goal, very hard job for the top club.
they can but their record shows the most likely outcome for them is a loss if we play well but they have taken a few draws and they have socred the odd goal. It suggests that if betting they shouldn't get more than 1 goal and are likely to sit 11 men back. It bears no relation to how the actual game goes, just merely states where they are at. As i said, they don't look like they've given up and are working hard but they have just not got a goal scorer
