Vote on Closing EU Thread

I could've posted this on the actual thread but I thought it might get lost, ignored (which it may still do) and/or not get all your attention. And also because I couldn't add a poll to it.

Just hear me out for a moment. The EU thread has been done to death, there's nothing new being added to it. It's poison, fellas. And I honestly can't see any one of you coming away from it every day, feeling better for reading it. It's self-destructive despite the point scoring.

I asked for a previous thread to be closed (and BRB obliged) but clearly that was a mistake because it wasn't what the majority wanted. So... now I'm asking you. I'm putting it to a vote (ironic I know) and I've tagged the main contributors of that thread below to vote on it (although others are welcome).

I also feel that a separate thread to ask the question is needed because I can't see people just choosing to stop posting to the EU thread while they're being baited. I'm hoping that a separate thread will enable people to finally distance themselves from that "discussion".

IF you ALL agree to vote, and the majority decision is to close it, then we can all respect that decision and close the thread. Finally, whilst I'm trying here to appeal to people's better nature, I appreciate you may well all tell me to **** off lol. Which is fine, but if that is the case, simply ignore the thread. Please don't post anything on here as I really don't want to turn this into another slanging match. I already know one of the likely posts will be "If they don't like the result will they ask for another vote" which tbf would be funny BUT will only end up starting another round of tit for tat arguing which is exactly what I don't want.

Listen folks, let's just ****ing use this opportunity to draw a line under this topic and move on. The vote closes on Wednesday, 23rd November (date chosen at random).

It's like a freak show in a Victorian circus. It doesn't really matter what's posted, some are so entrenched in their own preconceptions, they don't read what's put, but argue what they reckon you really mean. It just leaves it spinning round with adversarial personalised replies and little discussion of the points.
