If there was a petition on that government website do you think that we could get 100,000 signatures that would mean the issue had to be debated in parliament?

I for one find them a laughable organisation that are out of touch with the game, the majority of clubs, and football fans. The association needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom.

The FA are so weak that they hide behind their book of laughable rules and rarely apply common sense to incidents. There is no consistency, the top three or four clubs almost seem to be above the law and treated differently to the others. The reality is that people such as Sir Alex Ferguson is more powerful and influential than the organisation that governs him or his club. This surely isn't right.

Wolves were fined a season or two back for making wholesale changes against Man Utd (despite still fielding players registered in their 25-man squad), yet there are numerous times other 'bigger' clubs have made sweeping changes before cup finals etc and got away with it. No consistency.

But the rule that annoys me more than any is the 'if the referee saw the incident then they can't take action'. How can Rooney be allowed to get away with the elbow on the Wigan player last year? The referee saw it and took actions (by waving play on). De Jong broke Ben Arfa's leg, the referee saw the incident so no action by the FA. Why? I'm not saying every incident should be combed over as mistakes happen, but incidents such as this should be retrospectively addressed regardless of the rules. If serious injury is sustained by a player, or a blatant assault takes place then the FA should act, but they hide behind their rules.

There are numerous other issues with the FA as an organisation but I've gone on long enough.

Outspoken as Joey is, I think even he would stop short of promoting a petition against the FA...
