Sadly I don’t suppose many of us will avoid, at some point, relying on St Benedicts for support for family or friends or maybe even ourselves

My mam worked in one for a while before she retired and they gave so much comfort and dignity to not only the patients but also the relatives

True they all will do the same excellent work. We would never ever have been able to keep me dad at home without the palliative care team. They were beyond amazing

I would have voted for this. We have had St Clares Hospice in Jarrow closed and everybody from the area has such an emotional attachment to it, it's been really hard to take.

I don't want to make this political but Labour let it happen without a fight. We replaced them with independents at the last election who are now fighting to have the hospice reopened.
