Utrecht claim they agreed a sell-on clause as part of that deal and have yet to be paid a penny by Swansea following his switch to London. However Wilco van Schaik, general manager of FC Utrecht, told BBC Wales he has been told by the Premier League club's chairman Huw Jenkins, that Swansea let Vorm go "for free". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28701743
Yes, saw it reported yesterday. He says that Vorm going to Spurs was part of a swap for Sigurdsson and no money changed hands. Jenkins - as slimely as the slimeyest slimey thing in old slimey town. After you shake hands with him you should count your fingers.
Not so sure, ISAW, did he think he could get away with this when football issues are so widely publicised? If he gets a reputation for strokes like this no one will want to do business with him.
Haven't there been situations like this before? I thought there was arbitration to attribute a 'fair' price for the players in a swap deal. I seem to remember we got stung over the Gabbidon / Collins deal to West Ham. We sold them as a pair but put in the deal that the majority of the fee was for Collins as there was a sell on clause for Gabbidon. Bit us on the bum when Collins was sold as it diluted the profit made on him so we got very little when he was sold on.
Have to agree with ISAW on this one. As mentioned previously we've tried the same thing as would any sensible club so it's a bit rich complaining just because it's the JBs doing it.
Think you'll find all our tax is paid up. We just delayed some payments a few years back. nothing written off.
What is this discussion doing on this board? Who cares? swansea is just a disaster waiting to happen this season.
I suppose it should go down 2 human decency, but that's something football lost a long time ago.................lets be honest he`s just another tosser enjoying the gravy
