Was into work early today and noticed that new printers had been installed over the weekend. I volunteered a few weeks ago to give people a demo of how they worked. I printed out a sign to say that the new printers are voice activated. I didn't say a thing to anyone and the wee girl that works with me just told me how ****in useless the new printers are. I guess I should remove the signs and actually figure out how they work...tomorrow.
I'm sure it would have been more amusing if I had bothered my arse to go over and see a cue of people speaking into a printer. "Print 10 copies. Please." "It's not recognising my accent!?!" I thought it was an easy way of telling 30 odd people how to work it each time they went up to it.
I volunteered in work before to get to grips with the new printers we were getting in and to tell people how they work. They were put in place over the weekend but being a Monday and feeling quite lazy I decided to put a few signs on them this morning, telling people they were voice activated. I had totally forgot about it till just after 4 when a girl I work with complained that they were ****in useless. She had obviously stood at them like a clown shouting demands at it.
I doubt I was the first. I tried it before with a coffee machine in a previous job but it worked on some daft bint, everyone else laughed at her.
Medro, why the **** are you posting links to new printers on PC World and coffee machines at John Lewis?
