A new mobile application for Viz's famously racy Profanisaurus of "degenerate definitions" has launched on iPhone and Android.

Dennis Publishing, the owner of Viz, said that the paid-for app will feature 12,000 definitions from Roger Mellie's alternative thesaurus, including such gems as "quantum w**k" and "knuckle glitter".

Roger's Profanisaurus Das Krapital app enables users to browse the profanities by genres "ranging from anatomy to popular celebrities", while favourite selections can be shared on Facebook and Twitter.

Created by Dennis's new in-house development team, Dennis Media Factory, the app is available now on iOS and Android mobile devices. A version for Symbian-powered Nokia phones will "follow shortly".

A previous Profanisaurus app was released on the App Store in 2009

Russell Blackman, the publishing director at Dennis, said: "The all-new Profanisaurus app has been completely rebuilt, with a brand new design and tons of new content from the best-selling Das Krapital book.

"The app's brilliant design allows you to fill dull moments with funny profanities from the crudest mag in the business, or to search and quickly grab the right word - and then easily post it to Facebook or Twitter.

"The entries are cross-linked so that next time your mate complains about a magician's hankie, you'll know what he's on about."

Roger's Profanisaurus Das Krapital app is now available for download from the iOS App Store and the Android Market, priced at £1.49.

A Velma - the act of throwing your muck in a girls eye causing her to blink like Velma from Scooby Doo when ever she took off her glasses.

Gorilla's finger - the jobbie so large and long part of it pokes out the water in the khazi

The profanisaurus is the greatest example of the written word and should be included in the national curriculum. Better than the Bible, Chairman Mao's little red book, and the Haynes 1978 Ford Cortina handbook put together. No, it's true.
