Anyone remember a site called "1000PeopleMoreAnnoyingThanMickHucknall.com"? Was the place to slag off "celebrities" about 15 years ago. Must just about have been my first taste of social networking.
15 years ago on the internet is ancient history. Ebaum's World was another site from those days, a place where all the nasty pics (Goatse etc) and vids of people being killed on train tracks/kittens doing cute things were gathered together in order that one could pass the time if the boss wasn't around. I even remember a time when you really could pick up a bargain on ebay, was great for my record collection.
Yes and before it. When I first started work I liked to fill my f**ing-about-time by tracking down people I was at school with and winding them up, usually via an account in someone else's name who was also at school. When Friends Reunited started it made it all too easy. I know I sound like the Jack Hargreaves of the Internet.
