The reports of us having talks with Vito have been on and off in recent weeks. He himself has stated that he would love to join Hull City - and not just because he get's first team football, he loves the fans. Reportedly Wenger is demanding £1million for him, but I've heard that Bruce and Wenger have been having meetings attempting to negotiate a price drop and papers/newspages are now saying that they're meeting. Just gonna ask... Do you reckon Wenger will allow him to go for less than £1million? Would you rather Mannone stay at Arsenal despite him only having a year left on his contract?
well first of i think he will definitely leave because even if we don't get cover we hava a promising keeper by the name of martinez though he may be too young. With regards to the fee we got mannone for a reported 100K so dont see why you can't negotiate for a lower price possibly around 700K?
Hopefully so, I would be happy for that. I mean, I would take £1million as I feel he would stay with us for quite a while, so £1million for a permanent Goalkeeper who will stay with the Club seems reasonable. However, should it be lowered, that's a bit of good business from Bruce. The only problem with the fee from Mannone is, should we pay it, that's less money for strikers and midfielders.
yeah but theres always going to be a trade off though goalie is pretty important. Shame simpson didn't work out for you guys heard he missed a lot of sitters. Sad seeing as he had a great attitude.
Great attitude definitely, I liked him, it's just when you sign a striker, you expect goals I don't think the system we played suited him as a player, we was back then under the boring Judas, money grabbing, defensive minded Pearson and we scored very little as a team collectively for 2 Seasons. Then of course we bought Fryatt who scored 9 the first Season from January onwards and then 16 last season. Simpson isn't getting a look in. He did get sent out on loan to Millwall though and seemed to do alright there, but then towards the end of his loan he allowed his form to slump again which made Millwall not want to bid permanently. Good larker though.
