I'm a life long Liverpool fan (18yo) but when I was a kid my family moved to Manchester, It's been a long time since I've visited Anfield and as you can imagine there aint many other fellow pool fans around here. My question is, is it weird to go to a Footy match alone? I have been desperate to go back to Anfield and miss the place but nobody else will visit with me Also what about going to away games alone?
I've been alone a few times, get yourself in a pub and then to the ground late so that your not sitting around like a lemon, once the game starts it doesn't matter who you are with.
In exactly the same situation although I have been to a couple of games with my cousin it is very rarely, pisses me off when people on this board label others plastic fans etc. not all of us are able to go to every game but I can guarantee I am just as big a LFC fan than anyone else on here. Been on the season ticket waiting list for quite some time now but will not be getting one any time soon. Also like someone said earlier go pub have a couple of pints, arrive sort of lateish and we are one big family (most of the time, I have had a go at someone calling Gerrard's missus a slag but thats another story)
It's not the same as going to the cinema on your bill. There is no stigma attached to being on your own. Gonzo should know he's still a virgin.
My wife is getting a bit frustrated at this fact, and my 3 kids are very confused. Did you read my post on your Kenny thread Nobs?
