Vine to take legal action against QPR QPR striker in legal battle with club following freak accident in training Sep 11 2011 by Tom Hopkinson, The People QPR striker Rowan Vine is waging a legal battle against his club over the training-ground tackle in which he broke a leg three years ago. The 28-year-old was crocked in a clash with reserve keeper Matt Pickens in April 2008, just three months after joining in a £1million move from Birmingham, and has since been unable to re-establish himself at Loftus Road. QPR claim Vine (right) has not tried hard enough to get himself fit again after what they consider was a freak accident. http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/n....02039-23411337/
I'm certainly no legal expert but in any industry I fail to see what more an employer can do but pay you regardless of performance, work ethic etc. Frankly he's been a disgrace during and since his recuperation and is now fit for League 1 football at best, the fat, greedy, talentless, whinging, floppy-haired ****.
For a layman Watford, you've sure got the attack of an awesome prosecutor. You're right though, Vine's a worthless knob!
I'm 99% sure this is bollocks and we won't hear about it again. If somehow a case was brought against the club I'd very much hope we'd counter-sue for wages and bonuses paid whilst he's put in the sort of effort you'd put into shagging the sort of wench you pick up at the kebab shop by Watford Oceana at 3am. Hypothetically-speaking I must stress.
I can still hear the sound of his bone breaking, took my son for the one and only time for his birthday
He's hoping for a payoff and he'll quietly go away. I've got a Rowan tree in my back garden. It's big, wooden and a pain in the backside (all the little red berries). So Rowan means ... "big, wooden and a pain in the backside". Fits.
Yep. A cigarette, half a dozen chips and not looking like Iain Dowie and you're well in. Not that you'd want to be. Unless you do.
Did you take your son to the training ground for his birthday then, as I am sure that is where he broke it. The worst bone breaking sound I remember was Simon Barkers I think against Citeh
Northolt it was me who tweeted the link to Rowan Vine on Twitter, I just couldnt resist he needs to know what we think of him!!!!
When he joined us on loan last season, I thought it was an FA punishment for our financial irregularities.
Loveit, yes the one and only time i have been and taken him to the training and that happened, i remember saying to him that they had only clattered shin pads before he corrected me by saying they were not wearing any....doh....
