Roland Duchatelet all day long... He seems a sensible bloke unlike Vincent Tan and Assem Allam (but lets wait and see what he has in store for us when we reach the Premier League as I bet Cardiff and Hull loved their Chairmen in this League)
I like Vincent's trousers. He obviously has a sense of humour. Other than that, he is a prize prat. The jury is still out on Roland.
The one thing I do like about Vincent Tan is his audacity and up-frontness. There's no murky sort of background proposals as far as I can see.
Watching bbc breakfast news - they ran a story saying Roland had been quoted saying that our better players may be sold to one of his other clubs. I really don't trust this guy. He says KM is running it, but with things in place she can't do anything official without him. Surely she will soon be frustrated by this. It's becoming a recipe for disaster.
Is there anything new here, or are the BBC spinning the quotes from the press conference..? Either way nothing RD has done so far has filled me with confidence...
I've never heard RD say we will potentially lose our best players to another of his clubs. Given the fact, despite KM being ''in charge'' he is still having to sign everything off, and certain things he hasn't, that is a huge concern.
This new guy is dragging our club through the ****. Regardless of the cup run, the shroud of uncertainty will affect the uptake of season-ticket renewals, and I can see us languishing in League One again. I'm purposely putting a morbid spin on things, for anything better will be a bonus.
He's going to sell KM down the river soon enough. If she's working hard behind the scenes to settle several issues, only for RD not to come through for her then she will soon be the source of frustration for fans on match day, whilst he is off in Belgium trying to protect his favourite child, Standard Liege.
It is a shame we cannot have a rule that only English/British citizens can own English football clubs. It would certainly help.
That should apply to ALL businesses and property. I look at Roland and would not trust him around my daughter and as for Vincent Tan would not trust him around my Labrador.
"Vincent Tan and would not trust him around my Labrador. " He would probably eat it. It is a delicacy where he comes from.
I like Vincent Tan in that 'don't come near me' sort of way. He reminds me of that guy in the Hangover films. I love the way he puts his club shirt over his shirt and tie in a sort of Tony Blair sort of way. Would not like to use a keyboard after Vincent tho or a toilet.
Amusing interview with Vinny Boy on the BBC at the weekend. The interviewer kept tempting him to talk about Malky McKay, knowing there was a court case pending. The rabid cantonese mongrel that clearly exists inside Vinny prompted regular outbursts that must have had his lawyers wincing.
Roland speaks http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26418684 Is RD saying that the likes of Cousins or Poyet would be sold to Belgium? I'm well aware that, throughout our history, we've had to sell our best players to break even, but I can't imagine either of those 2 wanting to go to Belgium, particular if they harbour England ambitions. This comment from Standard's sports manager also irks me: That's an admission (to be fair, we'd already worked it out) that we're getting Standard Liege cast-offs. I don't like Charlton being viewed in that way. It also implies that we are below Standard in RD's rankings, even though he compares us to 2 of his 5 children, all of whom are to be treated equally. I didn't realise this either: Obviously that's unlikely to be an issue, as we're as unlikely to get into Europe as Baldrick is to actually have a cunning plan, but surely that proves that we are one of the junior clubs in his network?
