The whole thing is confusing me to be honest. Having read the interview, I found it to be aggressive and defensive in equal measure. It did nothing to suggest that Morison was fired for anything other than performance which is strange. Beyond that, I couldn't find anything in the statements beyon reaffirming my belief that VT wants to be surrounded by sycophants. That's not me being ungrateful it's just that I wish he'd get football people on the board which will be if benefit to him personally and the club. Not impressed.
Thanks for posting that Clingo. Interesting stuff, speaks his mind on some points but more circumspect on others. He says Hudson has the job until the end of the season, unless he does badly. Over to you Hudson. The bad signings and the managers involved still rankle with him, and he didnt even mention Madine and others. It also shows his dependence on Choo and Dalman as they must have been happy to sign off the deals despite their, and his, lack of football knowledge Of course he is committed with over £200m in the club and no buyers in sight. Welsh billionaires apart from Terry Matthews (egg chaser) are rarer than rocking horse sh1t so unless Sparkey makes the bet of anyone's lifetime there won't be much activity on that front from any source for a while. He needs the club in the Prem for any chance of getting most of his money back.
Maybe it's easy to say now, but the starting lineup was wrong for that game last night. Unfortunate that Wintle was banned, but replacing him with the complete opposite in the pedestrian Sawyers was doomed to backfire. The casual Ojo in attack was never going to trouble the away side who had probably turned up happy for a point. Harris pressing would have worried their hesitant keeper and CB's into more mistakes like the one that brought us the first goal. It was obvious from the stands that the setup was "limp wristed" from the off and was amazed that the same 11 came out to start the second half. In all honesty, and it might have been regarded as ruthless a la Morison, but should have been recognised and changed by Hudson/Whitehead/Ramasut combo after the first half hour - the fact they waited for an hour is unforgiveable. If Tan knows anything about football other than "we should shoot more", then he will have seen/been advised of that and the jury is well and truly out on Huds. I suspect the delay in his contract signing is probably some form of get out clause for the club - like the right to terminate his contract should certain events/situations be reached.
Tan came over, said a few things - nothing to write home about, suggests rich locals take over, expects us to win 3 games in a row to get into the play off mix and then get into the PL, do things differently and stay there for 10 years - sees a dreadful performance from both his manager elect and team, and presumably will fly off back to Malaysia.
All I took from that was two bad signings......the change of approach......and a will to stay in spite of others. Let's hope he lives a long life coz if he pops his clogs we're up for sale!!!
You ever had chips in Porthcawl? Some of the chippies in Bridgend are waving the chips over the cooking oil, not dipping them. Saves on energy costs. The chips are so anaemic they have to go to A & E for a blood transfusion.
I have had chips in Porthcawl on a number of occasions. But it was always further inland than Trecco Bay and it was many years ago now.
Not just us then. Vince displaying his football acumen elsewhere too. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-news-vincent-tan-25509031
