Villas-Boas quits Porto - likely to join Chelsea

Could this mean he will be bringing one of his strike force with him? Maybe Falcao or Hulk? This move may pave the way for a certain DIDIER DROGBA to Newcastle.......we can dream.....

    Or more realistically, Daniel Sturridge

He's probably bringing Falcao with him by all accounts, something like 25mil
    Sturridge could be available though.

More likely, would love Sturridge on loan. Although he has proven himself in the Premier League, so maybe we should meet the asking price and snap him up as our #9

Would snap up Sturridge tbh. He's great!

Ba and Sturridge? Class! Villas-Boas might not rate him and get rid of him, and it wouldn't surprise me if he brought over some of them Porto stikers so he could now be available! <ok>

We already know he's got what it takes. May as well just get him. Loans are only really useful for when players are unproven.

Very true, if he has a stunning season with us on loan and the Chelsea strikers, such as Torres, **** up then we may never get him on a permanent basis.

Is he minted? Apparently he is paying the £13.2 million release clause himself?

Either that or Roman has handed him a nice fat bung.

I'd say a bit of both...He was with Mourinho at Chelski and Inter and has been in full time management for 2/3 years!

Yeah but enough to have put that much aside? Managers aren't paid that much surely?

The clown in charge of England gets 6mil p/a before bonus.

More likely "a gift" from a russian

Ah yes, Mr Capello, compared to the Uruguay coach who was on £50k a year!

Wasn't Mourinho on about £4m a year while at Chelsea?

Possibly, still, takes 4 years and spending nothing to accumulate a spare £13.2 million.

Aye you're right...I'd say his signing bonus will cover it with some to spare!

I wonder if that's illegal though, why did Chelsea not pay it? Unless he has a lower clause?
