Villains Headline Game II

I have returned.

Sorry but I have been away on a residential course or so ACS claimed. No sooner had I managed to get internet access at the Federal Governmental Institution — penal colony № 6 Federal Penitentiary Service Hotel then my laptop went belly up. I had concerns about the sleeping arrangements when I was told that my 3 room-mates were all called Boris but was happy to believe the Commandant (that's what the Hotel manager preferred to be called) that these were just members of UKIP wanting to expand and improve relations with Europeans prior to the General Election. I was also concerned when I had to sleep with my hands manacled to the bed but they said JPF had been there many times and he had never complained, so I kept quiet.

By the time I escaped many days had passed and I found that the Orenburg region wasn't just north of London. I'm sure I saw Less Than walking by but he seemed confused and boy can he run fast in high heels when Boris II chased him.

Anyway time to draw this competition to a Heed. The rules are as before but for those with an attention span equivalent to ACS when he's playing memory games with his pet gnat:

1. You only have one vote.
2. You can vote for yourself.
3. You are voting for the BEST headline.
4. On this occasion you can change your vote.
4. If there is a tie I will have the deciding vote against which there is no appeal or whining. My decision is based on all relevant factors that I think are relevant.

May the best headline win.

I did read the thread but I could not condone such blatant and obvious cheating given my clear history for fair play and integrity. I would find no satisfaction in winning in such a deliberately dishonest and unfair method. No, I stand for righteousness, decency and honour. I would much prefer an open and democratic vote before winning.

User name wise I haven't a clue who anybody is now. You go out for a glass of wine and the children all change their names. As to a new one give me a choice of four and I'll pick one..............maybe.

The Gamesmaster's Guild have officially declared this game null and void due to a technicality (also known as an error committed by the Gamesmaster).

In round 1, if was the Villians headline game, while round 2 has been labelled the Villains headline game.

As there is clearly no connection between these two titles, previous voting cannot be carried forward and the so called 'finalists' disqualified for attempted cheating and bringing Trev's marvellous (and quite frankly honourable) game into disrepute by damaging the integrity Trev has worked so hard to instill. These cheats will not be tolerated. Therefore, the game is suspended.

As such, the Gamesmaster Guild would like to confirm that the current title holder be declared the winner and will continue their reign as champion until legitimately defeated, in a fair, honest and respectful manner.

Trev, can you please remind everyone of the previous - and still - champion headliner. Thank you.

 

It's good to see that , at least, someone is alert and noticed the deliberate error by the Games Master. Well done Sinful.

Given, however, that it was a deliberate mistake to check if people were paying proper attention, on this occassion and this occassion only I will not invoke JPF Rule 46 (2) (b). I will allow this Game to go full distance before winning it.

 

Trevor's Evil Sex Monkey appears to have more votes than the other entrants.

But, are they legal votes?
Are the voters over the Age of 18, with a right to vote in crucial polls like this....

 

Belatedly due to technical issues we now come to announcing the winner.

The entrant with the most votes is Trevor's Evil Sex Monkey. Does that make him/her the winner?


NO.

Why, you may ask. The answer is fairly obvious if you just think about it. This game is the hallmark of integrity and fair play and it is my role to ensure that that reputation is retained and enhanced. Firstly, does the entrant still retain the moniker "Trevor's Evil Sex Monkey"? No. Why I think is is patently clear for all to see. He has , either, attempted to garner favour with the voters by associating himself with Trevor by using Trevor's name in his username, or, even more cynically, has attempted to deceive the voters by pretending to be Trevor. Neither action shows this deceitful person in a good light and, accordingly, he is disqualified.

Does that mean it is a choice between Darlo and GLIF? Well, ask yourselves this question? Would you want a competition of this magnitude to have someone who wasn't able to beat an Evil Sex Monkey (no, that wasn't a euphemism) as the winner. No, it would then only be who was the biggest loser and I'm sure I speak for Darlo and GLIF that neither wants to be known as the biggest loser. So after taking into account their respective human rights I rather humanely disqualify them.

That then leaves The Barrack Room lawyer as the remaining finalist but nobody could be bothered to vote for him so what does that say about his entry. Pitiful really.

So where does that leave us?


Fortunately JPF in his rules has, in his infinite wisdom, considered this very possibility. Regular entrants will be aware that this rather unfortunate scenario has previously occurred but, as on that occasion, we are very fortunate that we do have an entry of undoubted quality from the last winner thereby enabling this Game to retain it's credibility and it's position as the premier game competition on the Not606 Board.

I am therefore very pleased to announce.......
