We were well beaten by an explosive start and equally explosive last ten minutes or so before half time. In between I didn't think there was anything between the teams.
The Villa crowd sounded deafening on MOTD, and to be fair they do rise the decibels at times but for much of the first half all you could hear was the City fans which never came across at all on the telly.
In the second half I think the City vocal support matched the teams effort on the field, we were resigned to the fact that we were not really busting a gut to win this game.
I must ask those amongst the travelling support what they really think before setting off for the game and choosing what clothes to wear because grown men in Tigers onesie's are not a good look.
There were four or five, maybe more in the away end (side) yesterday who looked very uncomfortable in their chosen Tiger outfits, I'm not talking little kids here, they were grown men and they looked ridiculous.
Perhaps it was a stag do or someone's idea of a laugh, fancy dress, etc, but please think more carefully next time.
Because I witnessed the ridicule you brought upon yourselves and our club from the Villa fans when we were leaving the back of the stand after the game. A tiger suit was a novel idea, once, during the Dare to Dream days when everyone was getting swept away by the excitement whipped up during the Watford Play-Off games and the club's first ever Wembley appearance, but its gone and is now very old hat. Leave it to the young kids eh lads?
I don't like to see opposing fans laughing at our supporters.

Because now it's perceived to be "cool" to go to football in fancy dress.

The zany ones who do dress up amongst us lap it up.

I hate onesies as it is. I dunno why anybody would step out of their house in one.

Cool football wear is now non colours, non football shirts and merch

Now its sharp trousers, shirts, smart jackets, clean smart shoes, more like your going to the races than a football match tbh

    'Cool' ?
Did you see the Scunthorpe fans at Yeovil or somewhere last week when they won promotion? Obviously a themed fancy dress day out and they all looked totally stupid. Like the cast of a very bad and cheap school Christmas pantomime production. Its not cool at all and it might work at cricket but at football these people just look ridiculous.
The better look yesterday was from the City fans who dressed in the skinhead theme, not OTT either, and the two buses that unloaded behind the Holte End before the game, without a scarf, tiger onesie or replica shirt between them caused more of a reaction then the howls of laughter and ridicule I saw from the Villa fans at those unfortunate 'fans' dressed as Tony the ****ing Tiger.

The whole posts a bag of ****e but the highlighted bis is extra ****e. Did you do a straw pole of the Villa fans? What numbers are we talking 1 10 a 1000? All critical/laughing/pointing fingers.
Maybe they laughed more at all the ones who tried to look cool and disinterested about getting stuffed in Ben Sherman gear.

    Each to their own.

The people I travel with are not attention seeking newbie supporters hence, no colours, no gobbing off and no-one is stood in front of the television cameras trying to get noticed.
Which is why grown men wear tiger suits, or are you telling me it is matchday attire amongst other clubs too ?
I've yet to see a leeds fan dressed as a peacock or a Man U fan as a devil, a Liverpool fan as a Harry Enfield character ( I have actually) a Everton fan as bag of toffee or a Millwall fan as Lenny the Lion.
I saw all the Villa fans who left from the same exit as us laughing, no guffawing, at the men in tigers onesies, I could actually feel their embarrassment.
And I haven't used the word 'cool' in everyday conversation since I was 14.
    No-one laughed at us.

The mauled chant's a piss take of opposition fans. Blokes in tiger onesies are just ridiculous. They may well have the right to wear it, but I have the right to feel it's pathetic.
