How is Trollope still in a job?!? Roberto Di Matteo: Aston Villa sack manager 124 days after he takes charge http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37534496
It's all about expectation levels at a club. Di Matteo was expected to do better and paid the price after just 11 games. In Trollope's case we've got a wall of silence surrounding the club's expectations for this season. Apart from some vague pre-season platitudes from Dalman and Choo about financial stability and putting the club on a sound business footing, the ambition factor has been completely abandoned. On our present course they'll be saying the same things at the start of the season from League 1 next year - this is just a bloody joke.
In all fairness Villa spent around 30m to bounce back up where as Trollope has spent next to nothing. No excuses as we have some decent players who just arent performing. We need him gone now! I don't understand how he still has his job!!!
Villa gave shown some balls. Looks like our board don't have any. And neither does Trollope. If he had any he would have resigned Saturday evening.
tiz the times that have changed if you ask me...............lets be honest with yourselves here, would fergie have had the glittering honours he gained from a long stint at one club if it had been during this era>>>>>>>>>>>>>like everything else in life these days we want it now and we want it has bigger. im not saying Trollope is our man here, that's all im saying is its easy for one man 2take the blame, when all I see is a club with no football men running it, that being the bigger issue that concern`s me more really ...........I say bring the painter decorator back into the fold, maybe he could give us a fresh new facelift.
Swansea new manager, looks like the old Sherman Tanks have thier feet firmly under the desks now. I hope its a good signing for them but somehow doubt it.
the yanks were at the liberty stadium on Saturday dude, so maybe, just maybe, they didn't think the Swansea goalkeeper had enough shots on target
