Players who are released are effectively on nowt a week so forget what they have been earning and make an offer. Remeber they can't stay out in the cold too long or they'll more or less be forgotten. Plus they have a wife or agent who doesn't want them hanging about so they are in a pressurised situation. The bottom line for them is if they don't get a Club then they have to sign on , get a proper job, live off their savings. My bet is they're open to offers once harsh reality begins to bite.
