Wow...that was a bit left field - thought he had already been ruled out... Be interesting to see if he makes a difference.
They gave him the money he wanted. I wonder if he will turn them round or completely ruin them. Greedy pig, but glad he prized himself out of our team
From what I've heard, he seems both arrogant and greedy, with a very full opinion of himself for someone who has just 6 months experience managing an EPL team.
Frankly, I'm happier with CR - I think Sherwood comes across as a bit of an egotist. He's not 'R' type of manager - I like the fact that we have gone with a man who has a sense of perspective, is lucid, intelligent and able to communicate with the press without belittling his players and staff. I really hope this is a big turning point for us - if TF keeps his word (and Chris demonstrates ongoing talent for the job) I'd be very happy with having the same coach for the next few years. A bit of stability would be a very welcome break from all the drama of the last couple of years. Even if it means a trip down and back up. Incidentally, the bottom club in the PL will take £100m this year (according to a radio report on R4 this morning) - was it Hereford who were going to the wall for just 200k - bloody madness!
He's got a tough job there but don't have anything against him personally. However, I hope Vills do worse than us.
I hope Villa go down because they are always down there and always just scrape out of it, so its about time they went. However if TS manages to get them playing it will be cue the Rangers fans saying 'TF should have got him in here'. I will stick by my guns and say i didn't want him here.
I read that he didn't want to come to us because he wasn't convinced that we have a long term plan so he joins a club that is up for sale. Strange man.
Agree Ellers. Didn't think he was right for us, another dud spud. Nothing against him or villa personally but they're hopefully going to be propping us up so I want them to fail.
Absolutely - didn't want him, no regrets if it doesn't work out. I'd rather be a club with a soul - he just doesn't strike me as being a team player - and I think we really need that team spirit at the moment.
I hope that he won't come to the R's and try to take Sir les or CR. Those three have worked together in the past
I can't see CR going to Villa At Loftus Road he's the main man, clearly with a bright future if he proves himself. I doubt that he'd want to step back to being no 2 or 3 now
Wonder what kind of team he'll put out against Leicester tomorrow....all the new managers who have come in this year in the premiership have had a positive effect lets hope Tim is the odd one out.
I hope that CR and Sir Les don't leave but we all support the soap opera that is Queen's Park Rangers FC. And anything is possible with our club.
The newly appointed Director of Football and manager of a Premiership club leave to be assistants to self confessed control freak? Don't think so!
He'll find it very different from his time at Spurs, no Ramsey behind him and a clearly less-talented squad...
I'd love Villa go down. Other than Norwich they are the Club I hate most. But expect Sherwood will give them a boost. Palace and WBA changed early enough and look like escaping. Villa probably will too unfortuately. I'm hoping that we haven't changed too late and don't get anymore bad injuries, and that 3 of Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Sunderland all stick and go down.
