Newcastle have several recent signings making their debut. Big boost for them. Mind you they needed it - they were pretty poor at Carrow Road.

Agree lets not get too smug. We're in freefall ourselves and struggling to find a parachute.

Sorry, but do we really need a new thread everytime Villa go behind in a match? It's bitterness bordering on obsession.

Oh come on man, don't be so soft. It's not bitterness at all, but I'm afraid I fail to understand how any City fan can't take any pleasure at all at seeing Lambert struggling at Villa. It's not as if he's not getting paid handsomely whatever happens, and no doubt he'll turn things around and be successful at some point somewhere even if it's not at Villa.

I don't feel any real bitterness towards him as a man at all, and I'm certainly not obsessed in the slightest, but I enjoy having a pantomime villain to boo at and at the moment it's him. Bit of fun, nothing sinister at all

It's not just Villa, I want all the teams below us to lose. Nice to see the gap between us and them remain the same.

Well you say that, but our seven point advantage is now 6.

This is what gets me, you aren't anywhere near us. Why is there such blanket media positivity that QPR are fine just because 'Arry is at the helm? It's total bollocks.

For my money, QPR are ****ed. they are a failed football team and they were ****ed before Harry even showed up.

Can't wait for all the confused "Experts" at the end of the season. Completely befuddled that a club that has 15 points going into second half of the season is going down

    "But...But... 'Arry was in charge!"

QPR seem to be going nowhere.Twelve points from thirteen games under 'arry. At this rate 32 points would seem to be about the mark.OK so they are unbeaten for a while but they havn't won for a while either.Draws are no good when you are at the bottom.Saturday is a must win for them, but not for us.

Martin Keown's oh-so-insightful analysis on the BBC is that Villa are struggling because Lambert repeatedly changing the formation and personnel shows he has no faith in them. Because Lambert was well known for keeping a settled side at Norwich <doh>

Fair play to you CT you are sticking with your thesis. Meanwhile you keep losing and and everyone behind are picking up points. Lose tomorrow and fail to beat us on Saturday you can remind me that we're going nowhere

Oh yeah and those 12 games were; amongst others - against Man U city Liverpool Chelsea spurs - all pushovers really. I think 12 from 13 including that lot is pretty decent

Granted your situation will be healthier, but you'll still be a minimum of 7 points behind us and a point or more from safety. I guess the worry for you guys isn't our form (yet), but that of Southampton. Newcastle looked resurgent tonight, and if Southampton continue to play as well as they have done recently, the bottom 4 may well get cut adrift.
