I’ve put a new set of chalkboards/stats up for the Villa game at http://wearepremierleague.com. Before Sunday I’d have happily taken a 0-0 and obviously the events of that morning help explain why the game itself was a bit drab.

Villa definitely came with a game plan of disrupting our passing committing 11 fouls in the first half alone, mainly in the middle third where as we’re not the kind of team to pump it in the box it just means a break in play before the passing starts again.

I’ve also looked at Rangel’s and Jazz’s passing stats, not surprisingly Rangel’s are more attacking but I think generally speaking Jazz did OK. He looked nervous but I guess him not being a first team regular means you focus on him more and so anything he does do wrong gets magnified.

Ashley Richards seemed to make one pass from the left wing - what was he doing over there?

I thought Jazz did good, hell those that were not happy with his performance, need to get real, he was thrown into the deep end of Premiership football, with a team that came to kick us off the park, under very depressing atmosphere, considering the death of Speed, so I'm pleased for Jazz, the boy did good, and remember he had to deal with Agbonlahor, not the easiest of players to deal with!................
