Alex McLeish's 11-month reign as Aston Villa manager looks to be over. The 53-year-old former Scotland manager said his farewell to the Villa players on Monday morning. Villa have endured a poor Premier League campaign, finishing just above the relegation zone after winning only four of 19 games at home. The club have yet to make an official announcement about McLeish, who left close rivals Birmingham City to join Villa in June last year. McLeish faced widespread protests from Villa supporters after leaving relegated Birmingham to take over from Gerard Houllier 11 months ago . Villa, who won only seven league matches all season, effectively secured their Premier League status with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the penultimate game of the season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18056282
Not surprised hes going they have had a really poor season, wonder if Judas is going to use this as an excuse to abandon them like he did us, Liverpool are supposed to be interested in him.
......................Given.................. Hutton...Collins..dunne...warnock albrighton.Ireland.petrov..nzogbia ..............bent....agbonlahor........... Bannan cuellar delfouneso Clark guzan They have a canny squad and any half decent manager would have had them mid table
They have a good team and squad in general, guarantee if they had a half decent manager they would have finished higher than your lot this season and probably will do next season if they bring someone half decent in. Having said that I cannot stand their fans and hope to see them relegated.
Is he going to West Brom next? Birmingham, Villa, West Brom, Not much left for a full midlands sweep for him eh?
Won,t be long before the insominia to Sunderland rumours start. Anyone think Bruce could be Villa;s new manager would be good for Bent and Bruce to be reunited lol
Judas is about to have his 3rd manager since he joined the Villa only 16 months ago. Congratulations Daz for dropping the biggest bollock of your entire career. Get yourself off to Liverpool this summer and see if you can get Kenny the push as well. LOl
Winning games is all that matters. if he'd been capable of going that the brum thing would have sharp been forgotten. Paul Lambert has almost admitted he's not going to be Norwich boss next year, I expect him at Villa Chris Hughton for the Norwich job if he doesn't get the wba gig
