Good morning VETCH - now this all depends upon which context you use "Premier". If you mean a member of the Premier League, then your thread title should have read "View from a Premier team in Wales" and would be perfectly correct.

If on the other hand you mean premier in the true sense of the word, there are some that would dispute that on the basis of the "capital city" and "larger crowds" argument as you raised recently on another thread.

I know you like facts and not just opinions, so in the interests of the new found interaction between our two bands of supporters, I feel certain you will agree with this conclusion..

As far as your game at Fulham is concerend, you should have no problem. After all, a humble side such as us managed to beat them up there, so it should be an easy game for a club of your stature. <ok>

Oh Sparkey :p the table doesn't lie dear :D

It is good that the players know they are not playing well, just hope it doesn't take long for them to get out of this slump. Stoke game was a huge step in the right direction and am hoping it will be the difference between winning and losing this game. Some effort from teh lads and we could walk away with the 3 points.

(sorry VETCH - not intending to derail this thread)

    Yes, well done Swanselona.
Got a feeling you are the right sort of character for this responsibility.
I'm sure it will go well and numbers will grow again with a little time and effort from us all.

..also the IQ test ... although tbf there was only the one question

"What's the capital of Wales" ........... to which he replied "W" .......... thereby getting the question technically correct whilst simultaneously endearing himself to the whole of the Swans board .......... duly appointed <laugh>

Well done swanselona. Don't have a nervous breakdown. My advice for what it's worth is be utterly ruthless and don't feel the need you have to justify anything. Bit like brb. <laugh>

Oh and you can start by banning every Redtit. <ok>

Nice to hear from our Ben, and I didn't realise we're only a point away from our total this time last year. I'm even more optimistic about Saturday now. #crashandburn

Sparkey <hug> - I would have thought that in this new atmos of friendly fun you would have taken this as just that, a bit of banter. I'd expect you to write similar and not take any offence in the slightest  Maybe I'm alone on this but I always assume someone's being sarcastic rather than taking offence at it :)

It's good to see Ben say that. I expect they're buzzing to get stuck in tomorrow, must have been a frustrating wait since the Stoke result.

Oh, and congrats Swanselona!! Very happy with your appointment.

daimun - who's said I'd taken any offence at what VETCH wrote? In fact he didn't write anything, just a thread title and posted a link, so how could I be offended?

I most certainly wasn't, and I'm quite sure VETCH will respond in agreement with my thoughts on the use of the word Premier for the reasons I've laid out. <ok>

    KJ for mod!

Poor guy doesn't know what he's in for.

Regarding the actual content here: he's not wrong. You've been poor for a while and at least your player(s) seem to have noticed. Now there's plenty of time left to do something about it.

Daimun - don't go anywhere pal, just hang around with the rest of the decent posters on here (as well as Aussie <laugh>)

(only joking Aus! <yikes> Don't want to set the entente cordial back. What did the Frogs have to do with it anyway?)

And a very good afternoon to you sparkey. Hope it's not too cold for you in Porthcawl.

Now,even you must eventually come to the conclusion that Swansea City F.C are THE PREMIER CLUB IN WALES,if only on the basis that they were THE VERY FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM IN WALES.
Until the late arrival of Cardiff at the top table,no-one outside of The Premier League knew much about you.
Your Club was known, for reasons which I won't go into, but definitely not for anything football related.
Accordingly, the general consensus would be,if followers of other Clubs were to be asked, they would only think "Swansea City" when considering Welsh teams.

Oh,and I don't remember raising any "argument recently" about "capital city",or "larger crowds".
I did raise those two items, but not in an argumentative manner, more a pointing out manner,i.e.,how many of your posters were so bereft of anything worthwhile to say that they would,of necessity, fall back on the use of those hoary old chestnuts.
A bit like obese people who indulge in comfort eating, they cannot help themselves, and it usually comes back to haunt them.

So I regret that I am unable to agree with any of your conclusions, but feel free to indulge yourself in more wishful thinking.

With regards the upcoming Fulham game, your victory earlier in the season will have no bearing on the result either way.
We hope to win,but take nothing for granted.

You have a nice day,and keep warm.
