Looking forward to this interview on ITV tomorrow. Both players were fierce rivals, Keane was a mouthy little **** but in a stand up fist fight I reckon Vieira would have knocked seven barrels of **** out of him.

    Blurb for the show below:

A new documentary bringing football icons Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira together to discuss their explosive rivalry, which defined one of the most compelling eras of the Premier League when Arsenal and Manchester United vied for the top honours.

In the documentary Keane and Vieira come face-to-face before the cameras to tell each other exactly how they saw it at the time and how they feel now, looking back.
While their two clubs competed with each other for the biggest prizes in the domestic game, their leaders fought on the pitch and argued off it, with the most infamous bust-up coming in the tunnel at Highbury in 2005.
The two men face each other across a table candidly discussing the most tense, frustrating and important moments of their careers, including the so-called 'Battle of Old Trafford' in 2003.
They explain why they had a fearsome bitter rivalry, and what they really thought of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger then and now.

Stevie's only good against wet lettuce DJs, he'd get the hiding of his life up against Vieira or Keane.

Not sure to be honest, Keane strikes me as a ****ing nutter and I think he would do anything to win a fight. In order for Vieira to win, I honestly do think he would have to kill him or Keane would never give up.

I just read this on BBC Sport.
I was drawn there by Keane's comments re Fergie and how he's all ego, difficult to pass judgement on someone I've never met but I can see that with Fergie and I do believe many fo Utds problems this season are a result of Fergie's selfish obsession with his legacy at the club and refusing to leave during a season of failure allowing the club to go through change before the big players all became too old.

As for the ITV programme tomorrow, I'm out......

Good program last night. A bit arse kissy between the 2 of them and made me very nostalgic for circa y2000.

Keane very bitter about old purple nose though. Loved it when he answered Clough to the best manager he worked under.

A view shared by Keane, when asked who'd have won by Chiles on Tuesday night. Because, he said, "he's 6ft4"

i think Clough was a genius - he took Notts Forest to Euro Cup Glory etc on a shoe string, imagine if he had been given the United job with their financial resources at the time [compared to forrest's]

Anyone could tell with a half glance especially in the tunnel discussion that in terms of who was the alpha male, it was certainly Keane. Viera totally bottled that encounter and others. I do think Viera was a more talented footballer mind you but he was not even remotely as hard as Keane who I think btw is a nasty **** but that doesn't change the fact that Viera was afraid of him.

Am sure some or all of you won't like this but there you have the truth. Roy Keane would spank Viera if it came down to silly violence. He's a Pikey FFS

I think Vieira had the measure of Keane in that he knew how to wind him up to the point where he'd lose it. There's nothing Alpha male about Keane in that Tunnel incident. It's simply the actions of a block head who's lost the plot. Keane might be a Pikey nutter, but for anybody who ever saw Vieira play in the flesh, you'd know that he was hard as nails and would be able to put Keane on the floor in seconds.

Aye, different people will see it differently mate, I support none of the teams either of them played for. I just call it like I see it and if you watch the footage Keane did not lose it and Viera kept is trap shut<laugh> Keane would easily go to blows in a second and Viera rightly wanted none of it for his own sake.

No fan of Keane, never was but even Fergie wouldn't cross that invisible line.
