If I was a journalist I'd avoid asking Assem any questions - about 10 minutes in they ask why Bruce was first choice. He replies by telling everyone how Bruce was shaking hands with secretaries, and how his staff worked through the bank holiday
THe sound quality is shocking... I still can't figure Assem out. I want to like him, I think he's an old guy set in his old ways... the way he goes about things is a bit old fashioned and lacks subtlety and I don't think he is an evil man with an evil agenda... I just doubt his motives... he always talks about giving back to "his" community but he will always remain a business man. and I may be cynical (although how can you blame me after Duffen) but I'll always doubt the motives. He's not lying, I'm sure he likes the city and feels at home and hopefully he just loves the praise and attention... a bit like a philanthropist but he's a business man, let's not kid ourselves.
Like the interview in the HDM, Dr Allam was a wee bit cringy for my liking. In the HDM, Ehab jumped in to make up for his fathers showboating. Here, he didn't get the opportunity. Really, Ehab should do all the fronting for the Allams as he is clearly the better speaker.
