It was good seeing green have a go at scoring although he needed to kick like their goalie did which was hard and low.

 

Great videos, thank you. Love the behind the goal cam with a view of their goalie rather dispirited on his knees.

 

The bench stood up as Austin went to shoot, but the only one not to celebrate was Traore, who just sat back down!

 

I noticed that but have only just realised that Luke Young was on the bench!

Yes, thanks Nines, we do look good, even though it could/should have been a much more comfortable victory if we had managed to score a few more goals given all our opportunities, but then we would have missed out on the usual "squeaky bum" experience, waiting for the clock to wind down, only carrying a 1-0 lead - that Millwall game still haunts me! We're really lucky to have BAE, such a calm & stylish player.

I see that Charlton rebounded from their loss, and softened up Donny for us with a 2-0 victory this evening at the Valley (a replay of the game abandoned with Donny leading).

A work colleague of mine, who doesn't even follow football, had actually already found Charlie Austin's wonder goal posted on YouTube and wanted to share it with me. He just followed up with this email:-

I wonder which football ground that was filmed at - likely mid to late 1960's? At 3:24 I see a blue & white hooped shirt in the crowd scene.
