Love his dress sense. He's like a trendy university lecturer/yacht club cool.

Think it's great that he took time out to do this, as well.

He's trying to immerse himself in the club it seems. Very present around youth team fixtures as well.

Has breakfast with Matt Le Tissier and other ex-Saints such as Lawrie McMenemy on a Friday morning, plays golf with the ex-Saints association too.

Great stuff. I can't picture MP doing anything like that. He probably doesn't even know who Tiss and Lawrie are.

I love the fact that MLT and Franny are back in the fold. Its part of what makes the club so great.

Absolutely. I always felt uncomfortable about them being given the cold shoulder by Cortese, and it's great that they remained 100% committed to the club despite that.

So was I, but was prepared to put up with it, under the previous regime, while the club was moving forward. Quite obviously, I'm happier now.

I am really beginning to like Koeman. I like that he's open and truthful. He doesn't keep all his hard earned skills to himself, he wants to share. And as for name dropping, when you consider that, in his own position, he was every bit as good as the other players he named, that was some list, and he left out plenty.

A friend of mine, who lived in Holland for several years, said to me recently that all the Dutch people are like Koeman. Well, if that's generally true then they've cracked the secret to being OK with oneself, and I like that, them and him.

Presumably Kenzie Benali is Franny's daughter.

I heartedly approve of schemes that encourage youngsters to study and broaden their horizons. Some children just love education and find their own way, but some need the spur that being connected to a football club (or similar institution) gives them. I hope hearing a successful man talking about being open to challenges and listening to Koeman makes them knuckle down. So many talented youngsters, especially boys, fall by the wayside.

The clue is in the name and age, Fran. <laugh>

Presumably you haven't been watching all the Benali's Big Run videos then..? The clincher was that she was very much in them and Dad was mentioned a few times. :)

On a more serious note, I like the way both Koeman and Krueger addressed the youngsters. Approachable, open and knowledgable. Not a hint of in-my-day-we-used-to rubbish, and not proud or arrogant. Really good stuff.
